Dehumidifier for Fertilizer Production
Fertilizers are chemically or physically prepared to contain the nutrients needed for the growth of one or several crops. The characteristics of chemical fertilizers are simple ingredients, high nutrient content, fast fertilizer efficiency and strong fertility; some fertilizers have acid-base reactions; generally do not contain organic matter, and have no effect of soil modification.
Moisture is a major threat to fertilizer production. Most commercial fertilizers, especially those with high concentrations of nutrients, are extremely hygroscopic and have a high solubility in water. Therefore, during production, storage, and bagging, they readily absorb water vapor, forming a saturated solution, causing agglomeration and oozing, and the end result is often a qualitative and quantitative loss.
Fertilizers with high hygroscopicity absorb moisture in the surrounding air during storage, which leads to the following problems:
Bonding and agglomeration, reducing the free flow of fertilizer, loss of nutrient and chemical properties of fertilizer, reduction of fertilizer concentration, crystallization, increase of explosion risk of nitrate fertilizer, decomposition of ammonia of hygroscopic fertilizer is not good for human health
So why does the moisture in the air increase out of control? There are several reasons for this:
Long-term fertilization, high-concentration fertilizer, high nutrient, strong hygroscopicity, soluble in water, when the fertilizer is taken out of the silo for bagging, the high ambient temperature makes the fertilizer become very hygroscopic
It is generally recommended that the temperature of the fertilizer storage area be controlled at around 27 C and the relative humidity should be maintained at 35±5%. In order to overcome the problems caused by the hygroscopicity of the fertilizer, it is necessary to adjust the air in the warehouse and the storage site so that the fertilizer cannot absorb the moisture in the atmosphere. Then the best way is to use an industrial dehumidifier to dehumidify the air!
