Why Should Industrial Dehumidifiers be Cleaned Frequently?

     Because the industrial dehumidifier works by pumping the humid air from the room into the dehumidifier, passing through two compressors and converting it into dry air.

     Generally, the air inside the room is mixed with a lot of dust and impurities. When the dehumidifier is drawn in, the air will pass through a filter to purify the air.

     After a long time, the filter will accumulate a lot of dust. If the dust is too thick, it will affect the effect of the incoming air. The amount of air entering will become smaller, and the amount of air and the efficiency of dehumidification will become smaller.

     In addition, the dust of the appearance of the dehumidifier should be wiped clean frequently to facilitate the heat dissipation of the dehumidifier, and the components inside the dehumidifier are prevented from affecting the service life due to the high temperature.

     Therefore, dehumidifiers generally need to be cleaned regularly to improve the use of the dehumidifier and to extend the service life of the industrial dehumidifier.

 How to Maintain the Industrial Dehumidifiers? 

●Switch maintenance method:

    Do not switch frequently when the dehumidifier is in use. The humidity controller should be used to control the start and stop. Turn off the power when not in use and unplug the power cord. When the machine is suddenly shut down, since the general dehumidifier has a time delay device (the delay time is about 3 minutes), it can be turned on immediately after the machine is stopped, but it takes 3 minutes to run.

    However, for a dehumidifier without a time delay device, it cannot be turned on immediately after the shutdown. It must be re-opened after about 3 minutes, otherwise the startup current may be too large, the fuse may be burned, or even the compressor motor may be burnt. Pay particular attention to the effective use of timing functions. When sleeping and going out, use the timing function to operate only for the necessary time to save power.

●Humidity maintenance method:

    Care should be taken to ensure that the humidity is adjusted too high or too low. For example, every 2% lower can save about 10%. Try to open doors and windows as little as possible during operation. Frequent opening and closing of doors and windows will reduce the dehumidification effect of the dehumidifier and waste electricity. Especially in the summer, the direct sunlight blocking the dehumidifier can save about 5%. In addition, space due to good sealing conditions* is power saving.

●Filter maintenance method:

    Dehumidifiers are generally used before or after the rainy season. It is recommended that the dehumidifier be cleaned and maintained. Especially the maintenance of the filter. After removing the air filter, gently pat or use a vacuum cleaner for cleaning. If the filter has too much dirt, it can be washed with water or a neutral detergent, but it should not be washed with hot water above 50 °C to avoid deformation. Do not use a sponge to clean, otherwise it will damage the surface of the filter. After washing with clean water, let it dry in a cool place. Do not expose it to sunlight or dry it by the stove, as it may cause deformation. The air filter after air drying is installed back to the original position, and the maintenance process of the entire dehumidifier is completed.
