Desiccant Dehumidifier for Glass Manufacturing Process

The transparent plastic film used as a safety glass interlayer adhesive has a strong hygroscopic property. Hygroscopic products are sensitive to high relative humidity and insensitive to absolute humidity, however, relative humidity can be high at any time of the year.

If the film is allowed to absorb moisture, the film will vaporize during processing, creating vapor bubbles that remain in the interlayer of the glass, causing quality problems and costly product loss. The rotary dehumidifier creates a low humidity environment for the production, storage and use of such interlayer adhesives.

To solve the humidity problem, the environmental conditions need to be maintained at 20-22% relative humidity and 21C. The rotary dehumidifier desiccant wheel is ideal for glass production applications because it maintains environmental conditions at a dew point of -60C/-50C depending on the situation and can be used in a wide range of environmental conditions of 170,000 m3 / h.
